03 - Renee Heartfelt

Do you ever hear a record and it really amazes you, something beyond the normal "Like" that you can't truly explain just right but you need to share with your friends. Renee Heartfelt put out two of those releases in their short existence, one being an EP released on 7"/CD and the other being a full length CD. This band should have been a lot bigger and not just in the circles that ex-member band would normally suck in, but in the realm of post-hardcore or "alt rock" . This is real post-hardcore, a clear growth past the previous (yet still groundbreaking and great) bands they had been in before. Those bands being Count Me Out, Striking Distance and Give Up The Ghost clearly not bands that will be lost in the sands of time, though this band didn't get the praise they deserved and now don't receive the admiration of a band of this caliber. That could be do to their short life or the overshadowing of those previous bands and peoples assumptions of what that would mean they would sound like. As post-hardcore has "evolved" over the years a few bands will always stand out Fugazi, Seaweed, Mineral and Quicksand; the latter being a clear influence on Renee Heartfelt's sound among others like Failure and Hum. But this band is not a rip off band, this band is important and I hope whoever reads this agrees and shares this with like minded people.

Death Of The Ghost Download

Also I've uploaded a live radio set with two acoustic versions of songs off both of their releases and a great cover of a Worlds Fastest Car track.

02 - Nothing

Nothing feature ex members of Cold World and Horror Show. They have a demo (link under the picture), facebook and a blog. Oh and don't think this band is going to sound anything like the bands these dudes have done before.
